Community Partnership Fund – 2005 / 06 Funding Round

The Community Partnership Fund is a contestable fund aimed at not-for-profit  Information and Communication technology (ICT) projects that help strengthen communities. Its focus is on projects that help communities with ICT content, connection, capability and skills to use ICT.
 
The Fund is part of the government’s Digital Strategy and is administered by the Department of Internal Affairs.

In this first year of the Fund over 50 applications totalling over $7.5 million have been approved. These support local, regional and national initiatives across a wide range of communities and projects. The majority of projects are led by not for profit organisations working with partners who include local and central government, schools, businesses and community organisations.

Applications were received for a wide range of projects including:
• ICT Learning Centres
• Websites
• ICT development
• Digital storytelling
• Digitisation of content
